The Minds Behind ReEarthMater
Dr. Ramona Fayazfar
Ph.D., P.Eng
Founder & CEO
Dr. Ramona Fayazfar is the Founder & CEO of ReEarthMater Inc. and Director of the Eco-Friendly Circular Advanced Materials and Additive Manufacturing (E-CAM) Lab. With over 20 years of experience in materials science, additive manufacturing, and sustainability, she leads innovations that bridge science, creativity, and circular design.
She is currently an Adjunct Research Professor at Western University, advancing research in low-carbon and circular materials. Her program focuses on leveraging additive manufacturing to develop and formulate novel low-carbon, carbon-negative, and circular materials — including sustainable pellets, filaments, and pastes for 3D printing and construction. Areas of specialization include bio-augmentation of waste plastics, eco-friendly polymer composites and cementitious materials, and sinter-based metal AM using renewable resources — all aimed at advancing sustainable, closed-loop material systems for a greener future.
Dr. Franco Berruti
PhD, P.Eng., FCAE
Chief Scientific Advisor & Strategic Partner
Dr. Franco Berruti is Professor of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at Western University and the Founding Director of the Institute for Chemicals and Fuels from Alternative Resources (ICFAR). An internationally recognized researcher, he brings decades of expertise in chemical reactor technologies, thermal conversion, and the valorization of biomass and organic waste into value-added fuels, chemicals, and biochar.
At ReEarthMater, Dr. Berruti provides scientific leadership and collaboration in developing biochar-based fillers and circular material systems for low-carbon and sustainable manufacturing. His work continues to inspire innovative solutions that close the loop between waste and value, shaping a cleaner and more regenerative future.
